Lasercutting Research

Just some images i've come across recently that had a lot of potential in terms of ideas I might use. They are much more practical than the images a had before, and a lot of them have actually been laser cut. The forms are useful as well.

 This intricate detail is something I'm really interested in capturing in my own final design.

Nice use of Layering in this image. I started thinking about having light feed into one another, so perhaps the solution to the layering effect i want might come from putting layers within other layers, and seeing the effect this creates.

Layering use - definately what I'm going for, and has this detail i really like as well.

Antony suggested hanging  features... perhaps something of this nature will give me some ideas.

This shape had a very earthy feel to it, almost like the stems of plants intwining....
