Group1, Week 3 - The Site

This is just an indication as to the location of the chasm. The location was important in the design, especially in highlighting one of the main ideas. I wanted to try and change our perception of the city, which is normally this place associated with constant change and movement. If we were to remove those senses that make us aware of such an environment though, would we still view it in the same way? The chasm travels underneath the more dense, busy places of the site to explore this idea in the most effective way. Looking at such areas from below, from a purely visual perspective, would offer an interesting viewpoint.
Most important is where the chasm starts and finishes. I wanted these to both be places of nature and of low density, because i wanted these to be the places that, in a sense, someone would carry with them along the journey. To start and end in places of nature, full of natural sounds, and to then bypass all the noise and chaos of the high density areas, ending at this open space to another natural place (the park by vector).
